I’m presenting a reading of selected poems from The Surrender Tree by Margarita Engle about Cuba’s struggle for freedom, experimenting with percussive sounds to enhance the story. Artists Without Walls Showcase, Tuesday, April 26th @ 7:30pm. Performers are Al Foote III, Celeste Muniz, Paul Roberson, and Kazuki Kozuru. Others performing are Jenai Huff, Mala Waldron, Jim Hawkins, Gina Costigan and Rick Cashman. The Cell Theater, 338 West 23rd Street. Doors open at 6:45pm, seating is first come, first served.
